Ludovico Martelli S.p.A. is committed to accessibility and inclusivity. We want all our customers, including people with disabilities, to be able to successfully use our service.
This document describes the accessibility features of www.floid.com, how we meet the requirements of the European Accessibility Act, the EN 301549 standard, WCAG 2.2, the ADA and Section 508, and what we are doing to maintain and improve accessibility. This statement covers only www.floid.com.
We regularly review this information as we improve www.floid.com.
Overview
Service description
The website https://floid.com/ is the official digital platform of the Floïd brand. The service offers users information and content dedicated to personal care, including:
- Product catalogue: browsing of body care, shaving and after-shave product lines;
- Editorial and brand content: informative sections on the brand’s history, fragrances, formulas and company philosophy;
- Support and contacts: a contact form for sending information requests to customer support.
- Language switch: In the top bar, you can switch at any time from the Italian version (ITA) to the English (ENG) or Spanish (ESP) version and vice versa.
How to use www.floid.com
(Accessibility & Operation)
We strive to make www.floid.com simple to use for everyone. Here is an overview of how to navigate and use our service when using assistive technologies or special configurations:
Users can explore the product collections through the main menu and review the detailed pages for each line to learn about their features, fragrances and how to use them. In the sections dedicated to the brand’s history and philosophy, they can learn more about the ingredients and properties of the formulas. Finally, through the contact section, they can send direct requests for information or customer service support by filling in the dedicated built-in form.
It uses the standard interaction methods of the operating system and assistive technologies.
If you need further explanations on how to use any part of www.floid.com, please contact our support for personalized assistance. We aim to provide any additional description or explanation necessary for the correct operation of the service.
The accessibility of our service can be customized and improved by activating the appropriate options in our accessibility widget as soon as you arrive on the first screen. The widget can be reached via keyboard at the beginning of the page or, if displayed as an overlay, in a fixed position near a corner of the window, and has an icon similar to the universal access icon:
- Use without sight: three TABs (or enable screen reader compatibility).
- Use with limited vision: use the zoom, contrast and font adjustment functions.
- Use without color perception: use the highlighting functions (headings, links, clickable elements).
- Use with limited mobility: simply navigate with a keyboard-emulation device or enable the keyboard functionality.
- Minimize seizure risk for photosensitive users: use the option to disable animations and specific color combinations.
If correctly activating one of the features were to compromise compatibility with your configuration or assistive technology, please contact us and, in the meantime, disable the widget using the dedicated button, to avoid inadequate use of our service.
Accessibility conformance
(How we meet the requirements)
We have evaluated www.floid.com against the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (including, where necessary, its local implementation), the ADA, WCAG 2.2, and Section 508, and it is:
Perceivable
- Content is shown in a clear and logical order that assistive technologies can interpret.
- Instructions do not rely solely on elements such as shape, color, size, position or sound.
- Content adapts correctly to screen orientation, keeping display and functionality consistent.
- Where present, the purpose of input fields is clearly communicated to assistive technologies.
- Information is not conveyed by color alone, or a clear text or symbol is also provided.
- Text and important visual elements have sufficient contrast, at least 4.5:1 for normal text.
- Content can be resized and the interface remains usable.
- Information is presented as text, not as images of text, unless necessary.
- Content adapts correctly when screen size changes, when a two-dimensional layout is not required.
- Important components have sufficient color contrast against adjacent elements, in all their different states.
- Changing text spacing does not cause loss of information.
- Where present, content shown on hover or focus does not disappear unexpectedly and can be easily dismissed.
Operable
- All functionality can be used via keyboard or equivalent assistive technologies.
- Users can move freely with the keyboard and are never trapped within a component.
- Where present, single-character keyboard shortcuts do not cause unexpected actions.
- There are no time limits, or the user can control or extend them when necessary.
- Moving content has controls to pause or manage it.
- There is no flashing or blinking content that could cause seizures.
- Every screen has a title that indicates its purpose.
- When the navigation order is meaningful, focus follows a clear and correct order.
- The text of each link, or at least its context, clearly indicates its destination.
- Content can be reached in more than one way.
- Headings and labels clearly describe content and functionality.
- It is always clear which interactive element is selected when using the keyboard.
- Elements that receive keyboard focus are always visible on screen.
- All functionality can be used without complex gestures.
- Functionality does not trigger immediately on touch, can be cancelled, and does not require a prolonged press.
- The name read by assistive technologies matches the visible label text.
- All functionality works without requiring device or user movement.
- All functionality works without requiring dragging actions.
- Interactive elements have a clickable area large enough to be used easily.
Understandable
- Every page has a defined language that is used consistently.
- Where present, changes in language within the text can be recognized by assistive technologies.
- Keyboard focus on an element does not cause unexpected changes.
- Activating an element does not cause unexpected changes.
- Navigation options are always in the same position within the service.
- Repeated interface elements are always the same and easy to recognize.
- Help and support options are consistent throughout the service.
- When an input error is detected, the field with the error is identified and explained in text.
- Input fields have labels or instructions when necessary.
- When an input error occurs, guidance for correcting it is provided, where possible.
- We write content in clear and simple language.
Robust
- Standard technologies are used that assistive technologies can interpret.
- User interface components have clear names and roles, and their state is correctly updated when it changes.
- Status messages can be read by assistive technologies without moving focus.
We have tested www.floid.com with the most common assistive technologies across a wide variety of operating system-browser configurations:
- Screen readers (such as NVDA and JAWS on Windows, VoiceOver on Mac and iOS) to confirm that all interactive elements are correctly announced and can be used.
- We also test screen magnification and high-contrast modes.
We aim for compatibility with current versions of the major assistive technologies. Our code follows the best practices outlined in WCAG 2.2 and EN 301 549 for a robust implementation, which means it should remain accessible as technology evolves.
Standard: based on the above, we apply the most recent WCAG 2.2 AA and EN 301 549 criteria to ensure accessibility. Compliance with these standards creates a presumption of conformity with the requirements of the EAA, the ADA, and other regulations based on the same technical standards.
Ongoing monitoring and maintenance
For us, accessibility is not a one-time commitment, but an ongoing process. Here is how we ensure that www.floid.com remains accessible over time:
- Our accessibility coordinator, who oversees the accessibility of floid.com can be contacted at this email address: accessibility@ludovicomartelli.com.
- With the support of AccessiWay, on 18/08/2026 we carried out an external, expert-led manual audit to verify our accessibility conformance. We maintain a cycle of ongoing testing and improvement, with recurring support to ensure that comprehensive audits, including manual testing by professionals using assistive technologies, are carried out at least once a year.
- We use automated testing tools built into our development process to promptly identify the most common accessibility issues (such as missing alt text or form labeling). Every code update goes through these checks.
